Doctors will also suggest diets that avoid certain types of foods, so that the patient is still able to lead a healthy diet without being too constrained by their choices in fine cuisine.

Gluten allergies can be mistaken. If a doctor says you are not allergic to gluten, still consider cutting it out of your diet. Gluten can still cause discomfort and small symptoms even if the test came back positive. While you may not have a full-blown allergy to gluten, you can still have a disagreement with it. Cutting it out of your diet for a couple weeks of time should do the trick- if you feel better, continue on your path.
